During the training, you will learn about the principles of ultrasound diagnostics, the main modes and rules of operation on modern ultrasound machines, and understand what is meant by ultrasound safety. You will gain systematic knowledge in conducting standard Doppler studies: ultrasound access points, standard ultrasound sections of vessels. You will learn to assess laminar and turbulent flows.

Topics:
Duplex scanning of upper extremity arteries: research protocol. Diagnosis of stenosis in subclavian and axillary arteries. Arterial form of anterior scalene muscle syndrome and TOS-associated aneurysms. Diagnosis of non-atherosclerotic diseases of upper extremity arteries (hypothenar hammer syndrome, Raynaud's syndrome, arteritis).
Duplex scanning of the superior vena cava system: research protocol. Criteria for thrombosis of central veins (superior vena cava, brachiocephalic, subclavian, internal jugular). Assessment of upper extremity thrombophlebitis. Paget-Schroetter syndrome. Ultrasonic diagnosis of dialysis fistulas (preoperative study, postoperative observation).
Duplex scanning of the inferior vena cava and iliac veins. Criteria for thrombosis, neoplastic obstruction. Ultrasonic assessment of the inferior vena cava filter (IVC filter).
